Development of an interactive React component for Stadtwerke Meißen that lets residents check the district heating status of where they live. The solution integrates seamlessly into the existing website and offers an intuitive user experience.
Technical implementation & innovation
Built with React and server-side rendering (Gatsby) for optimal performance. Integration of Leaflet.js for the interactive map and the Nominatim API for precise address search. Development of an intelligent GeoJSON algorithm for locating an address.

Implementation of a custom React hook for central component state and a clean code structure. Responsive design for every device. Performance optimisation through intelligent data processing and caching strategies.
Content management
Integration of DatoCMS as the headless CMS, so the client can manage the GeoJSON data flexibly. It enables independent updates of the district heating areas without developer intervention.
